In the Alpine - An Illustrated Journal of Kokanee Park

In 2021 Petra started working as a hut keeper and park operator in Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park. Combining her passions for art and nature, she has been documenting her time in the park through an illustrated journal, photography and video. "Everyday I draw and write something that stands out for me. It is incredible how it made me open my eyes wider and live more consciously in the moment. I started hunting all day for the beauty in things, wanting to draw and share it. I even find myself doing this in my daily life outside of the park now! Petra published the journal titled In the Alpine - an illustrated journal of Kokanee Park in July 2022.
