Generally speaking, when comparing Tech with Alpine bindings, the former is sturdier and more precise than the latter. This cannot be said for the heel piece, where the soles of the “Tech” shoes are not fixed to the skis as in the Alpine bindings. With the new adjustable Freeride Spacer, they filled in the gap between these two bindings and went beyond, providing a superb skiing performance.
