The Shield Vintage line are at home in all alpine regions, from the Hirschberg to the Birkkarspitze. Inspired by the clothing style of early climbing pioneers, we mix traditional fibers with modern high-tech materials. That’s why we use the high performance membrane dermizax NX from Toray in the hood and shoulder zones to keep out the wet and the wind. A wax finish protects the organic cotton against moisture and at the same time provides high breathability in the front and back areas. In order to remain functional at all times in any alpine activity, the material is extremely robust and withstood 30,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale test.
